Ford, the parent company of Land Rover, is due to announce tomorrow (Wednesday 8th September) the future of the Land Rover plant at Solihull along with the 8,000 strong workforce there.
The decision tomorrow follows the rejection last week of the previous rescue plan and roadmap for the future prepared by Solihull management and trade unions.
Freelander production is already due to move away from Solihull in 2006, with the new model due to be built at the Halewood plant on Merseyside. |
