101" Forward Control

101 Forward Control
A 101GS (General Service)

The 101" Forward Control (101FC, or just 101), was designed and built solely for British military use, and were all fitted with V8 petrol engines. Most were configured as General Service (GS), which specified a removable tilt and hoodsticks. Some were used as field ambulances, and were fitted with coachbuilt bodies.

The 101 saw active service right up to the 1990 Gulf War, when many 101s were used in the desert by the British army. Almost all have now been de-mobbed, but there are no doubt a few still in active service, just as they were designed for.
